Ellie Greenwich Passed Away

Remember the popular numbers like “Be My Baby”, “Chapel of Love” and “Leader of the Pack”? The co-write of many these pop songs Ellie Greenwich took her last breath on Wednesday, 26.8.09. According to her nieces Jessica Weiner, Greenwich was 68 when she dies. She was admitted to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital a few days before for the treatment of pneumonia. She died in the same hospital. Her niece reported that she died out of heart attack. A member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Ellie Greenwich was considered to be one of the most successful songwriters for pop music.
